How long: Registration takes a few minutes; identity verification (KYC) is usually approved within about 24 hours.

Step by step

2. Enter your email and create a secure password.
3. Complete the registration form with your residential details in Nigeria.
4. Verify your identity (KYC) — upload a government ID and proof of address.
5. Choose your account type and base currency (a range of currencies is available).
6. Fund your account in its base currency — minimum deposit with no minimum on Standard.
7. Download MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 and start trading (or practise on the demo first).

Step 1: Register and verify your identity

Registration itself is short: an email address, a phone number and a password create the Personal Area login, and the account currency is chosen at this point — it is not simple to change afterwards, so it is worth matching to the currency a deposit will actually be made in.

Identity verification (KYC) is a separate step from registration and is what unlocks a live deposit and withdrawals. It asks for a government-issued photo ID — a passport, national ID or driver's licence — plus a proof of residential address, and it is usually reviewed within about 24 hours.

None of this is required to try a demo account first: a demo opens with virtual funds and the same order flow, so the mechanics of placing and moving an order can be learned before any identity documents are uploaded.

Step 2: Choose an account type

Five account types are open to a new registration, and the choice mainly decides whether the trading cost sits inside the spread or is split into a raw spread plus a commission. Standard and Standard Cent keep the whole cost inside the spread and have no minimum initial deposit, which is why most first accounts are one of the two.

Pro, Raw Spread and Zero are aimed at more active trading and ask for a $200 minimum deposit. Pro still prices the cost inside the spread; Raw Spread and Zero pass a tighter, closer-to-raw quote through and charge a per-side commission instead.

Step 3: Fund the account and connect a platform

Once identity verification is approved, the account is funded through one of the supported methods for the account currency chosen at registration — the Personal Area lists what is available. A deposit is not required just to explore the platform, since a demo account covers that first.

The last step is connecting a platform: the login opens on MT4, MT5, the Exness Terminal in a browser or the Exness Trade app, and all of them read the same account, so the platform choice is about charting and workflow rather than a different account.
